The training is intended to improve knowledge of the theory and application of the controls required by the ISO 3834 and EN 1090-1 standards, focused on the coordination of welding for steel components, in accordance with the EN 14731 standard.

COURSE FOR VISUAL INSPECTION OF WELDS (EN 1090-2)

Intended for personnel who are experienced in welding and weld inspection and who wish to work in the role of coordinator. This course prepares for training for VT Level II and covers the following topics:

  • Vision by the eye and visual perception
  • Environmental factors
  • The regulatory framework
  • Inspections according to EN 1090-2, par. +39 12.4
  • The visual inspection procedure according to ISO 17637 (which replaces EN 970)
  • The acceptability of the inspection according to ISO 5817 (levels D, C, B, B+)
  • Gauges and tools for carrying out the visual inspection
  • Defects detectable by visual inspection of welded joints
  • Practical exercise
